How to burn infused frankincense :
-
Using coal :
- Light a piece of coal until it glows red.
- Place in a suitable heat-resistant incense burner or on a ceramic tray.
- Once the charcoal is thoroughly heated, carefully add a small amount of infused frankincense to the burner compartment to avoid direct contact between the oils and the charcoal.
- The frankincense will begin to release its fragrance as it slowly burns, diffusing a rich, enveloping scent throughout the room.
-
-
With electric burner (alternative option) :
- If you prefer to avoid charcoal, you can use an electric incense burner.
- Place a small amount of frankincense in the burner compartment.
- Set the temperature (according to your appliance's instructions) and let the frankincense gently release its fragrance.
How to extinguish incense :
-
Charcoal: To extinguish incense on charcoal, simply remove the charcoal from the heat source with tongs and immerse it in water or sand. Make sure the charcoal has cooled before discarding.
-
Electric burner: Simply switch off the appliance and leave the incense to cool. You can then remove the burnt residue once it has cooled.
Additional tips:
-
Quantity: It's advisable not to overload the charcoal with too much frankincense at once, as this can produce a thick smoke. A small amount is enough to diffuse a long-lasting fragrance.
-
Ventilation: Burning incense in a well-ventilated room allows the aroma to spread more evenly, while avoiding excessive smoke build-up.
-
Precautions: Always use a suitable burner and never leave incense burning unattended. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
These tips will ensure an optimal experience while respecting the quality and power of your frankincense fragrance .
